Adaptation Requests

We will:

  • Acknowledge all requests for adaptations within 5 working days
  • Consider a tenant's needs either from the information provided, via a home visit or if required, we will arrange for an Occupational Therapist to carry out an assessment
  • Discuss the options available to meet your needs
  • Help you find more appropriate accommodation, if it is not possible or practical to adapt your home
  • Aim to carry out all minor adaptations within 10 working days of a request being approved
  • Aim to carry out all major adaptations within 6 months of a request being approved
  • Incorporate specific adaptations within our planned maintenance programmes where possible
  • Offer you the right to appeal for major adaptations, should you disagree with any recommendations
