Customer Charter
The Customer Charter defines the standard of service you can expect to receive from us.

We are committed to providing services to the highest standards. We hope this charter, which has been developed with our tenants, explains how we will strive to meet these standards.

A Professional Service

We will:

  • Be respectful and polite at all times
  • Give you our name when dealing with you
  • Use plain, jargon-free language when contacting you
  • Be honest and open in our dealings with you
  • Deliver our services in a way that does not discriminate against anyone on the basis of sex, age, marital status, race, religion, disability or sexual orientation
  • Communicate with you in a way that best suits your needs eg. letter, email or phone

Meeting the customer's needs

We will provide information to our customers in the format they request, which may be:

  • Translated into a customer's main language
  • In Braille (in the appropriate type)
  • On audio tape
  • In large print
  • Through an interpreter or signer
  • By using Language Line (a telephone interpreting service that LHT subscribes to)
  • By using Typetalk, a service from the Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID), where a customer with a text phone speaks to LHT via a Typetalk operator, who relays the call

If you know someone who is an LHT/Rodney tenant and they have specific communication needs, please encourage them to inform us, so that we can meet that need when contacting them.
